My little Sienna started Kindergarten back in September. She loves her teacher! Her school offers a Spanish immersion program and we were lucky enough to be accepted into the program. We were a little hesitant at first, but after a few meetings and hearing from moms who have children enrolled we decided it was a wonderful opportunity we could not pass up. The program is a 50/50 motto. She learns math, science and social studies in Spanish and has it translated back into English so she learns it twice basically. Everything else is taught in English. Her homework she brings home is all in English. It truly is such a neat opportunity for Sienna and she is loving it so far! She can count all the way to 25 in Spanish. She knows her shapes and colors in Spanish. She knows her days of the week, months of the year and so on and so on. We could not be more thrilled and proud of how well she is adapting!
